Andrea is a licensed physical therapist assistant who is passionate about being a part of rebuilding people’s lives through rehabilitation and physical therapy. Andrea spent five years at Bellevue Hospital where she had extensive experience as a certified traumatic brain injury specialist. Besides TBI, her specialties are working with amputees, people with spinal cord injuries (SCI), CVA, Parkinson’s and other neurological involvements. She often uses the Spinal Mobility Technique to address trunk weakness and related functional activities with people with spinal cord injuries. Other interests and strengths are manual deep tissue work, joint mobilization and establishment of creative exercise programs that is personalized for hip, knee, shoulder and low back disfunctions. Andrea enjoys teaching and she is a co-instructor of a continuing education course for OTs and PTs. She co-teaches with Lawrence Harding, who is the founder of the Spinal Mobility Technique.
