Our programs are based on the belief that early intervention is key to the most successful outcomes for breast cancer patients.
We work with women following a lumpectomy, mastectomy, or reconstructive surgery, during and after radiation or chemotherapy and when they are ready to resume prior exercise or work routines.
We use specialized manual techniques and exercise that when started earlier in the recovery help to minimize the development of long term issues like swelling, pain, tissue adhesions, restricted shoulder mobility, poor posture, fatigue and reconditioning. Cupping therapy is one technique used at New York Physical Therapy to minimize these issues.
We are committed to working one-on-one with breast cancer survivors at their stage of recovery, to listening carefully, and to devising a comprehensive plan that addresses their specific needs. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding your particular situation. Let us be a part of your team that helps you on your road to recovery and return to those meaningful tasks in your life.
